I went to the doctor today and we decided that I need surgery on my left wrist. It will be on April 3rd- my father's birthday. I'm a little frustrated that it's practically another whole month until then. It seems like this will never end.
In other news, the handwritten portion of the LOST recap process is finally over. I will be all caught up in a matter of a day or two. :)
This week in physical therapy I began some strengthening exercises so that I can get used to using my hands and arms again. I was able to squirt a water bottle for about ten minutes and it didn't hurt. I feel so good today- like I am finally getting better.
For those of you who have myspace accounts, I would like to pass along that almost every character on The Office has their own page. In character. It's pretty funny. I also have a lot of bands who are my "friends". It's really them and they keep blogs and post on the message boards, so it's pretty cool.

I was watching WWE last night and they were promoting the return of Saturday Night's Main Event to NBC on March 18. They flashed back to a previous episode from the 80's and wouldn't you know it? They showed my very first wrestling memory. Hulk Hogan getting attacked and put out of action by King Kong Bundy, leading to a confrontation at Wrestlemania 2. It was kind of neat to rewatch the exact moment I became a wrestling fan. Thank you, King Kong Bundy. LOL
I didn't want to say anything until I knew for sure, but for those interested-
I started writing with a pen today and it didn't hurt too badly. I got about a half hour in on a LOST recap before I had to stop. I am hoping that within the next week or so, my world famous recaps will make their triumphant return to this blog.
Also, I got rid of the hit counter. It reset itself again last entry and I felt it was ridiculous to have an absurdly wrong number of hits represented on my page. I know it's close to 13,000 and ever since I left and came back again, I haven't had the same amount of readership anyway. I think it's my family, Frances, who is practically family, and four other people. If you are not related to me and you read this, please leave a comment. I'd like to get a general idea of how many people I'm speaking to.

We just got done watching the first episode of The Amazing Race. As I'm sure you remember, I like to predict who is going to win and who will be the first one out based purely on seeing them for the first time during the introductions. I have predicted the winners this way twice and the first out only once. But one of the correct winner predictions was last edition, so I am going for an "amazing" two in a row.
I'm happy to say that my pick was the team that came in first tonight. Eric and Jeremy, I believe their names are- the girl-crazy frat boys. Off to a good start there.
As for my pick for last place- I was sooooo close. I pegged those annoying, You Go Girl old lady sisters. They came in NEXT to last. Now we have to listen to them scream, praise Jesus, and wonder who farted for at least another week. And I picked them before I knew how annoying they were. Needless to say, I was pulling extra hard for their elimination after seeing them in action.
The funniest part of the episode was when the oldest couple said that they've been competing against younger people their whole lives. I guess when they were teenagers they really kicked some toddler ass.

Faithful reader Tricia recently asked me what bands blew up in 2005 or are about to blow up now. She did not realize that someone asking me what I thought about music makes me giddy with excitement because it happens so rarely. Most people think the music I listen to sucks. Anyway, I decided to answer Tricia's question in an entry and add it on as a bonus feature to the Top Ten. The following are bands that have been getting some buzz and have made it onto The Radar :)

Morningwood has gotten big and will just keep getting bigger in 2006. (Okay, minds out of the gutter!) Their single Nth Degree is one of those songs that is so catchy, the indie scene cannot contain it. I've heard it in a clothing store my wife shops at, I've heard it on the pop stations and it just debuted as "New Music" on the Sirius station, The Pulse (music for soccer moms). Morningwood is fun, catchy and they have an attractive female as the lead- all good things.
Other fine Morningwood songs are: NY Girls, Jetsetter, and Take Off Your Clothes.

Arctic Monkeys are coming to America. They are already gigantic in the UK, where their album Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not smashed a sales record held by Oasis. Interesting album title considering that they have been dubbed yet another "next Beatles."
Their album is in stores now, they will be on Saturday Night Live on March 11 and you can hear their first single, I Bet You Look Good On The Dance Floor on any self-respecting alt rock station.
Well, that's it for now. I'll post more bands to keep an eye on next week and just make one big boring music entry a week from now on. :)
I know everybody and their mother writes an American Idol journal, but why is it that every year, something fishy goes down? Last year, it was Constantine being eliminated right after it was released that he had an album coming out, when he had never been in the bottom two before. Now this time, poor Becky, who was fourth worst at best, gets the boot a day or so after Maxim reveals that "they had her first."
